Cheers program question

I am trying to determine if the Cheers Package makes sense for me. we will likely choose to upgrade the liquor and wine choices and I was wondering if the program covered those or just house wine and well brand. I noticed that the website states

" All spirits, including cocktails, cognacs, whiskies and other spirits, as well as beer and wine (and Champagne) by the glass, with a $50 USD or lower menu price per serving"

What does this mean? Any drink less than $50 or liquor that would sell for less than $50 a bottle? Are their individual drinks that cost more the $50?

Also, do they serve free drinks inn the casino or will we have to pay for those?

Thanks in advanced

Drinks are free in the casino only after earning 1,000 points - not like land-based casinos.

Up to a price of $50 per drink, but there is almost nothing on the bar menu over $50, so it's pretty much "anything goes". It does mean you need to drink wine by the glass however, otherwise you get a 25% (I think) discount off the bottle.

Yes, you can upgrade to top shelf liquor and wine....though, there isn't any high end wine by the glass at the bars (except a champagne in steakhouse). As stated above me...there are so few items over the $50 limit that the cheers package is pretty much all inclusive of anything offered. Downside is that every adult over 21 in a cabin must purchase it, but once purchased, you probably won't need to spend another dime on alcohol.

Thanks guys!!! One more thing, are we charged for the last day? I doubt I can drink that much before noon!!! Although I could try....

No, you're not charged extra for disembarkation morning. You're off the ship by 1000 at the latest and I think the only place to possibly get liquor would be a spiked coffee at the coffee bar.

Also, if your cruise embarks from Galveston or NYC, Cheers is not allowed on the first day and would kick in at 600 am on day two.

Nope, a 7 day cruise is 7 nights, the last day does not count. The Cheers day goes from 6am-6am well except the first day which goes from whenever you get on the ship till 6am. Lol.... So your last night will end when the bars close, since no bars are open at 6am except maybe the coffee bar.

Cruises are really sold per night, not per day. For a 7 night cruise you pay for all 7 because you have access to the bev plan starting when you board through the first evening. So, there's no extra 8th day for the few hours of disembarkation. Disembarkation day isn't counted but embarkation day is.
