Cunard Fare vs Early Saver Fare

Any advantage to actually booking another cruise whilst on board rather than take the future credit deposit?

Sorry, just read last two posts which talk about booking rather than the FCD.

Two further questions: we don't have a regular ta, TBH we just book with the one who is the cheapest. Would this make any difference?

And secondly

We've just discovered an American ta (DD used her to great benefit in August). Could we use this firm or are we stuck with a UK agent?

I posted in September about how much extra it was costing for us to book as non-UK passport holders on QM2 next June. Well things progressed quickly - the friends with whom we will be travelling live in Northern Ireland, they booked through a TA in England and it was much cheaper. So we cancelled our direct booking with Cunard and went through the TA - the result, a whopping saving of almost €900 on the cruise cost plus an increase in obs from $60pp to $145pp. Plus we got the same cabin we had booked with Cunard, it became available within minutes of us cancelling with them!

Just a quick observation, As many of us have noticed, the CUNARD web site often has glitches. Last week we were able to book an early saver and still choose our cabin number. Seems they had forgotten to block the cabin numbers. All confirmed, early saver fare and assigned cabin number, happy days. It’s worth giving Cunard a ring if you’re thinking of booking.
