Princess cruise Ship Captains

Captain Jon Paul Bryant, better know on his bridge announcements as "JB from the bridge", captained my September 25- October 18, 2017 cruise from Dover to Venice on the Pacific Princess.

He was highly visible, pleasantly sociable with a good sense of humor, and was an excellent communicator re: anything that affected the itinerary.

I'd love to sail with him again anytime.

We just returned from a b2b on Regal Princess with Captain Tim Stringer. For us, good captains can make such a difference. We so enjoyed his being our captain--personable, visible around ship talking with guests, kept us in touch with what was going on both at noon and when we were leaving ports as well as a few other messages. His service for Veteran's Day was touching, warm and so meaningful to all the people there. Would love to travel with him anytime. Thanks, Captain Stringer.

Yes, I would also like to know.

According to a pre-cruise email, Captain Todd McBain will be on the Emerald Princess for a 12 day Alaska cruise from Los Angeles to Alaska and back to Los Angeles that leaves on April 27, 2018. Hope that helps

Got an email from Captain Tuvo - we are sailing Star Princess 5/26/18 - Alaska NB. Don't know what the email signifies! Talking about filling out travel documents!

We used to get numerous precruise emails in the past, but they stopped a few years ago.Am the only one they stopped emailing?

Does anyone know what ship Captain Giorgio Pomata is on?

The email we got in mid January for our late March cruise on the Ruby is "from" Capt. Pomata. I assume this means he will be the Captain of the Ruby -- I know there was a captain change at the end of January, so thinking that is when Capt. Pomata came aboard

That's unfortunate. I think he is the least personable of all princess captains.
