MSC Bellissima - Stateroom choices... YC or Aurea ?

Planning to book a cruise in April 2019 on MSC Bellissima and

have a hard time making a decision between stateroom categories

and experiences.

Option A: Yacht Club Deluxe Suite

Option B: Duplex Suite Aurea

Difference in price is $1,300 more for Duplex Suite Aurea.

Unfortunately the Duplex Suite Aurea comes without YC perks.

We are 2 people, sailing in September 2018 in Aurea Suite

on Seaview and never been in Yacht Club.

Any comments or recommendations are highly appreciated.

Thanks.

For me the question is will you spend the majority of time in your cabin or not. Food, service and perks are far better in YC for me. Others prefer the bigger suite and all it brings. It will be a brand new ship and most attention will be in the YC and they will have butter [emoji15]

Were in the YC from Marseille 6th April for 2 weeks [emoji3]

That is exactly my “dilemma”. I like to try Yacht Club with service and perks but the space & location of a Duplex Suite is tempting as well. The decision is not easy since I don’t know YC and Aurea.

The YC restaurant is very very good. I only have NCL Jade speciality restaurants to compare against on the high seas but the YC beats them all by miles. On quality, service, atmosphere and freshness of food. I’m not sure about aurea. We thought the cabin was great and very comfortable and spacious but we are not cabin dwellers we like to get out.

Alea iacta est... pro Yacht Club !

Thanks for all your input, photos and aspects to consider.

I choose Yacht Club over Duplex Suite.

Although I like the Real Estate of a large suite but the perks and

exclusivity of the Yacht Club vs Aurea is what convinced me.

As result I booked a Yacht Club Deluxe Suite on Bellissima

(April 2019 Western Med) but was able to change the reservation

on Seaview (Sept 2018 Western Med) from Balcony Suite Aurea

to Grand Suite Aurea.

So I will have the best of both worlds on two upcoming cruises.
