Brooklyn cruise terminal to Times Square

Does anyone have experience using Uber or Lyft for transport from the cruise terminal to a hotel near Times Square?

Lyfte approx $30 based on a 9 mile / 30 minute ride.... they do charge by the minute so anything above 30 minutes expect about $0.30 minute more and they charge by the mile so anything above 9 miles expect about $1.50 a mile more. Very easy to get and price is comparable to Uber / cab

If Lyft charges by the minute you are better off using Uber then or a Car Service such as Dial7. NYC traffic is unpredictable and you’ll be penalized if there is some traffic jam.

If there is a toll, it will be either $5.76 (ezpass rate) or $8.50.
