Caution When Booking Paradise

We just returned from a cruise on the Paradise. We had booked Cabin M62. During one of the embarkation programs, we found that they had removed cabins M60 and M58 which was right next door to our cabin for debarkation in Cuba.

On the night before we landed in Cuba, they started setting up for the next day by putting a baggage/passenger scanners right outside our cabin by the elevators. Then they blocked off our side of the ship's access to that area. You had to go back to the mid elevators to get anywhere. That was a slight inconvenience but the worst part came on the day we left Cuba.

Passengers had to be back onboard by 5 AM. From midnight on, the passengers came back onboard after having fun at the local bars laughing and talking loud. The worst was at 5:01 AM when the crew started tearing down the embarkation equipment banging things around and all talking in loud voices.

We lived through it and will have something to talk about for quite a while. I'm just posting this as a warning not to book cabin M62 or any in that area if you are a light sleeper.
