St Maarten cruise port

Recommended Posts

We walk to the beach that's along the board walk or you can take the watet taxi. We rent chairs on the beach and enjoy the day. We havelunch at the Jamaican restaurant on the board walk. When we're done with the beach, we walk through town and browse the shops as we walk back to the ship.

what is there to do right at st Maarten cruise port or within walking distance? Thank you

“Right at the cruise port” there are some shops. The water taxi is there as well. You can take the water taxi to the beach right across the water and there are more shops and places to eat over there too.

Per above ... There are some shops and bars "right at the cruise port".

Much better to take water taxi to town. ;)

How much does the water taxi cost? Are there lots of them waiting at the pier? Do they take you to town?

The water taxi runs about every 10 minutes - $7 per person; however, our cruise ship (Jewel OTS) provided coupons for $1 off/person. Or you can take a taxi from the pier for $3/person.

Yes, the water taxi takes you right to the beach - walk across the beach and you're right on Front Steet in the middle of Phillipsburg.
