This picture is for "Marie". They didn't have any "green" drinks! LOL I'm wearing the beautiful gown she passed on to me. Thanks again, Marie. :D

Thank you Judy! You looked fantastic! Thank you so much for posting the picture.

Well ladies. My world cruise is coming to the end in nine day. We have a fantastic time and meet many wonderful people. Julie; I will mis you -:(.

Anyway, yesterday we had a Country fair to raise money for charities. I donated many dresses and gowns, but still have more for posting later. I will get to blow the ship whistle on the 15th. I did it last year on the Queen Mary. My goal is to do it on all Cunard ships -:).

Take care ladies and have a great day.

Marie

The internet is too slow, I have to wait to upload the pictures later.

Love the gorgeous beaded dress!

Renee you did great at recycling your red dress, I do sew and don't think I'd have thought of doing that.

Thank you!! Like I mentioned, I loved the dress that I saw fro $300 but has to recreate in my own way! I soooo wanted that style and thats what happened!! Worked out!! :D I acyually also boought some organza in a cream color but was not so sure of that. I was simply going to use it as a cumberbund like style and have it tied in the back,,,, maybe this next cruise??

I followed part two of this thread and got lots of great ideas. Thanks to you ladies, I got brave enough to order the sapphire blue dress attached from ebay [cici golden fashion]. I also ordered a Lands End LBD.

I knitted a very pretty beaded shawlette from grey silk/bamboo yarn that will be beautiful with the black, but I guess I'm going to have to go buy some yummy yarn [oh darn] to make one to go with the sapphire blue....oh wait - I have some already - silvery silk. I better get needles clicking!

Very pretty! I actually really love the darker blue colors lately!! I had a navy blue party dress for New Years... Ill have to see if I can find to post!!

Hi Marie, Walt and I are doing great. I just finished my accessory wall, so I am finally getting organized. We are heading to Niagara Falls next month for a mini getaway, and our next cruise is not until November. I think you and I would have a blast shopping together. Maybe some day we can make that happen. :)

Looking forward to more of your pictures. I hope you will post a picture of you in that "black gown" (at least I think you bought it in black).

Have a great time in Niagara Falls Lisa :-) ... Dave and I go every year around June as we just live a couple of hours away and it was our first "away" date when we were dating... it was 12 years ago yesterday that we met and we have been going for a couple of days every since .... far enough away to really feel like a vacation and yet close enough to home that we can just drive to :-).... we have always been on the Canadian side but we hope to see it from the USA side one year :-):):):)

Awe, thanks! We are going the end of May and staying on the Canadian side at a B&B called The Always Inn. Congratulations on 12 years! We met 10 years ago last month. I can't even remember what my life was like before I met Walt. :)

Niagara on the lake is a nice town to visit.

If you like wine.

The Welland Canal is nice to watch ships go through. You can call and find out the time of ships going through the locks to view them. Sships up to 740 can use the canal.

Hi Ladies!

I am obsessed with shopping for cruise dresses and am VERY petite.

To give you an idea I am 27 y/o and 5'0 tall. It is VERY hard to find age appropriate petite clothing.

I just ordered this dress: http://www.tobi.com/product/51779-tobi-ever-so-scalloply-dress?color_id=70137 for my next cruise. If you are height challenged, this site carries shorter dresses.

Wow....some great sundresses on this website. I am also 5' 0...and I feel your pain trying to find vertically challenged dresses. Loved the one you picked out. Have you used this website before?

Yess!! I found the new thread! :-D

If I were you CruisingGatorGirl, I'd have that blue prom dress altered. I remember it from your review and the colour is really beautiful. Maybe do something to the neckline? Just a suggestion ;)

Oh and Judy, the green dress is fab.

Lisa, you look radiant in the golden one.

Ashley, your wedding photos were beautiful.

And everyone else who posted pictures (can't remember your names yet), keep them coming!

Contributing to this thread is so much appreciated :)

I have shopped here before and they are reliable although they ship from Cali so it takes longer to reach us in the Midwest/east coast. But, they have free shipping on everything and free returns. They also offer 50% off your first order, and they post new items/colors everyday. I can't wait for my new dress to come! I will post a picture when I get it! I love that there is a thread for us to talk "shop".

I love reading this thread but don't really have much to contribute - until now! Years ago DH and I arrived on the U.S.A. side of Niagara Falls and took a walk across the bridge to the Canadian side - without passports. Canada would not let us in - and the U.S.A. would not let us back in :eek:

Long story short we spent 2 1/2 hours in the border control office on the U.S. side pleading our case which pretty much went "we are just really really dumb Aussies". :o
