Same Old Ports

Locals told us May was the best time to cruise Alaska, by ship, because they are pleased to see passengers arriving again for the season. They are all burnt out at the end of the season and pleased to see the last big ship leave.

Yes, May is good, fewer ships = fewer people. Some bigger chunks of ice floating around which is good. Just a little cooler, but we found it fine.:hearteyes:

We did ours on Carnival Spirit...'Hawaiian Islands then from there across to Vancouver then Inside Passage, about 3 weeks. That was in 2006, mostly North Americans on board and well before the ship was sent here and they put all that waterslide junk up top and made it 'the fun ship.' Ughhh.

I have a neighbour who enjoyed the same cruise from Hawaii. Sounded a great itinerary.
