Ocean Medallion with Guarantee on Regal

Our Regal Princess cruise next month is listed as an "Ocean Medallion Preview" cruise. We have a guarantee booked. Are the cabins previewing ***** in blocks? We're used to waiting for our cabin assignment with guarantee cabins, but I wondered how long before sailing date would we need to be assigned to find out if we're part of the ***** preview or not.

I believe based on other threads that the 100 or so cabins that have it are all clumped together and share a muster station. If you have received your cabin # but no notice of ***** then I think it is safe to assume no *****. I have never done a guarantee but there are other threads on here as to how late some have received cabin #

There are 110 cabins with the Ocean medallion unless they have upped that since our 12/3 sailing. That's the exact number John Padgett gave in his talk to us.

They are grouped together on 3 decks with the exception of our cabin on Caribe which was C336. We were told that there was one other cabin in our area on the other side of the ship that also had it. They had us go to Muster Station B as well. Our cabin steward had no idea why our cabin was included shortly before our sailing. There is a thread around here that talks about the exact area. I know Marina deck was one of them. If I recall correctly, they were in the area of the 200's.

For anyone without it, they are taking notice if someone calls in and if a stateroom opens they are moving them.

OP here. I saw our cabin assignment yesterday. It's a Cat. BB cabin on the Caribe Deck. I called Princess this morning to see if it was an ***** cabin. It's not. The rep told me that she could put me on the list to move. But after she said that the possible cabins would be downgrades to a Cat. BE and I said I did not want to downgrade, she transferred my call over to an ***** specialist. She also checked on the cabin (since I had to repeat my booking number and other info to her). When I said I was disappointed, she put me on hold to call customer relations. She came back with an offer of $50 per person on-board credit for us. She explained that the lower amount was due to the fact that I booked this cruise after Princess had announced that ***** wasn't going to be available in all cabins.

Yes we did a check on the first preview cruise and the trial covered Baja 301-336, Marina 201-238, Lido 201-302. Then, based on what Carolyn said, they added the two from Caribe 336 and 337.

Very nice! We had an ***** cabin in mid-December and quite honestly the best thing about the Medallion experience was Medallion Net which everyone gets (well everyone gets it if they are Platinum or Elite, or are willing to pay if not). Unless they have a lot more working with ***** these days, you won't be missing much.

We had mini suite guarantee and we got lucky and got one of the Medallion cabins!

For those of you who had the Ocean Medallion....can you elaborate on what you liked and didn't like. We have it on our April 15 Transatlantic and have only read negative comments.

There are several threads on this already. I wrote one. It's not worth worrying about if you don't get a cabin with it.
