Email confirming cruise months after booking and months before final payment???

Just got an e mail from Princess telling me to check that all info is correct about our cruise in December! Final payment is not until the end of September.

I wonder if others got similar e mails and if not I wonder why I got one?

I will probably call them but I think it is quite strange!

OK -I figured it out!!

I went line by line in the confirmation and I realized that our OBC just went up by $250. Instead of just sending me an e mail telling me they received my Carnival stock info they sent me this formal confirmation with all of our information and the stock OBC in small print added onto my other OBC.

Whew! I guess all is just fine but what a way to tell me a simple fact.

At least you got an email. The only way I knew my OBC was there was by checking the booking myself.

I believe that Princess sending a new confirmation showing CCL OBC is a new procedure.

Sailed Oct 2017 and just this past Feb, and did not receive such an email. Found the OBC in place on our Personalizer. However, recently submitted for two early 2019 sailings, got confirmation email within 2 hours of fax.

I asked them to send me an e mail when they received the stock info.

Their idea of an "e mail" is a complete confirmation statement.

Who knew? Just funny but certainly better to get more info than no info!

I need to send my stockholder OBC request to Princess for our next cruises. Always before I just watched the Personalizer to see if the OBC was posted. So now I can expect an email verifying that the OBC was awarded. Nice.

I don't know if they send it out automatically.

I specifically asked for an e mail and included it in my request for stockholder credit.
