Chemical Packs for Cold Packs

I have a bad back and normally travel with chemical packs that when activated turn into cold packs. I plan to put them in my check bag for my Jan 6th(Freedom) and Jan 12th(Breeze) cruises. I starting thinking will even allow these on the ship. Anyone know?

Can’t see why they would not be allowed. I take the ones which turn into heat packs on international flights and cruises. Have been queried once at airport check in at Dubai, but full instructions on bag and they let it through. 14 hour flight without it would be tough.

Pack some ziplock bags in case they take the chemical packs away from you and you need to make ice packs. Just make sure to ask the room steward to bring you ice twice a day. We had a wonderful steward on the Liberty who brought me 2 ice buckets twice a day and a couple of extra hand towels daily to wrap the ice packs in, when I sailed with a horribly sprained ankle in Nov 2016.

Go to your drugstore and get an icebag It's an old-fashioned contraption...big mouth to fit ice cubes and room to fit around whatever part you're trying to cool. Plenty of ice onboard. Fill it with ice and a bit of water, and it will do the trick!

Should not be a problem.
