We were on in January/February 2018 before drydock and the spa pool was closed most of the time, having some kind of issues as we were given every reason it was closed when it was good weather and in port. So, I guess wondering about that specifically. Thanks.

We were on it in March for the third time and never noticed the pool being out of commission. We went with some trepidation after reading other peoples' recent reports, but we truly had a wonderful experience! The service was excellent, food very good and the ship looked good enough for us at that time before the drydock. While we noticed some food has been deleted and not quite the same variety in the buffet, we never starved.

We were on it in March for the third time and never noticed the pool being out of commission. We went with some trepidation after reading other peoples' recent reports, but we truly had a wonderful experience! We also went in Feb/mar. The pools were all open - no problem there. The food was good and plentiful. We have not been on since dry dock but will be on her again in Feb. 2019. Can’t wait!

We were on her for the crossing in April, immediately after drydock. Most of the work seemed to be installation of the cables and sensors for the (eventual) implementation of Ocean Medallion. There was a contractor crew onboard in rooms near us, trying to finish up some work and they looked exhausted and sounded frustrated.

New, larger TV’s as noted earlier, but still not on-demand, and an annoying detail for us, no numbers on the remotes so one cannot select the channel number. Scroll up and down only. (Yes, yes, I know very minor, but it was annoying.) They did add new carpet in the hallways, elevators and lobbies. Did not see any in the rooms, but obviously only looked in a couple near ours. (Caribe). They wrapped the formerly painted, but scratched, elevator doors in a garish, brassy gold foil-like film that began to peel and tear before the cruise even reached Barcelona.

They re-imagined the Trident grill into the Salty Dog Grill, and Scoops became Coffee and Cones. The pizza counter is called Slice. These changes added new signage, paint, and decor and a mix of new menu options in those places. Some extra cost, most free.

Pools and spas all seemed to be open on a regular basis, DH took a soak daily and never had any trouble with access or continual closure.

Cannot speak all that much to the buffet selection, as we did not eat there except at lunch and we usually had salads. But it did sort of become the same selection day after day and not much variety. Although on the final formal night we were too tired to get dressed up and do the lobster night meal in the MDR. Ate at the buffet and had some really great, large butterflied fried shrimp instead. Saw our tablemates and travel companions the next day and they said the MDR lobster was the worst meal any of them had on any cruise in the last 20 years. So we felt pretty lucky that we had eaten the good buffet shrimp that night.

King. Yes, once. Pizza was back to previous standards for the outside venue ( still not Alfredo’s). They also had some new items, calzones and some bruschetta offerings, which we never got around to trying, but the avocado toast was very popular.

We too were on the Crown immediately after dry dock, Aloha Deck... a mess. We had buckets in the corridor for the first 7 days catching the waterfall from the newly installed water lines. Eventually they got it fixed...only for it to start in our cabin 2 days before we disembarked.

Horizon had a day early on that had a major water issue, beach towels lined the floor.

She needed more time in Freeport.
