You know what they say: If life gives you lemons, you must surrender the contraband item now or face penalties.

Thanks again for taking us along for the ride, Doug! Excited to see what the TA on Bliss will bring us from the patron saint of vicarious cruisers.

How bad was the smoke from the casino and did it smell in other parts of the ship? I just read a review from someone who said they would never go back until NCL changed their smoking policy. They specifically said they could smell it on decks 6-7-8 and it was bad.

I walked throughout the 6-7-8 corridor at all times of day & night. While I occasionally smelled the remnants of smoke, I rarely, if ever, felt that I was breathing smoke in the air.

Several people in my extended family are sensitive to smoke, and they've never had issue with sailing the BA or Escape.

There are plenty of threads out there on this topic if you want to read opinions from both sides. I'm hoping this thread doesn't become another one. :)

Hope you are having a wonderful time.

What if anything have you heard about the two medical emergencies resulting your arrival in San Juan yesterday?

Thought of you today in NOLA. Maybe check out this place next time you cruise out of here on the Dawn!

Sadly the Dawn is moving on to Tampa when its not doing the Bermuda runs. The Pearl is taking her place.

Understood and thanks for the response. I have read most of the other threads, some of which are a little dated, and the opinions were all over the board so I figured a more recent experience would be most helpful.

Approximately from the forward elevators to midship, and then down one flight of glass stairs - I'd say 1-1.5 minute walk.

It would also be convenient to hang out in O'She's and/or watch the Atrium entertainment from above. This is on the same floor... steps away.

I'm very thankful for this info...and I'm guessing my guy will happily walk that 1-1.5 minutes for a good beer!! [emoji481]

Besides the ducks, was there anything else that the teens in your group would consider not to be missed?

If you asked them, they'd probably say their trip highlights were the Sloths and crepes (Garden Cafe aft).

But in all honesty, they just love having a week to do as they please on a floating playground. They all enjoyed the activities (slides, ropes course, etc), the 2 main production shows, the dining (Teppanyaki is their favorite), and several of the Atrium shows.

That's why I love cruising... everyone can choose the adventure that best suits them. For our big family trips, there's always been a great balance of individual exploration with group activities.

Can anyone please tell me if the DBH has any of these beers? Pliny The Elder, Pliny The younger or Double Arrogant Bas*ard Ale?

Thank you!

Doug posted the full list earlier in the thread, but the short answer is no.

So Doug, compared to your previous cruises, was the nap total (Sue's adventure) higher or lower than usual?

Sue was a champ on this cruise! Maybe it's traveling with just-me that makes her want to sleep all the time. Nah...

I wish! You can barely get Pliny the Younger from the brewery that makes it, let alone on a cruise ship.

Theresa - I was so sad to read your earlier post. I knew there were issues that resulted in you cancelling the Dawn cruise, but I hadn't realized what happened afterwards. I'm so sorry.

I hope you have a wonderful time with your family, and I look forward to hearing how you like the Escape. We'll just miss one another... as you disembark in Miami we'll be in Fort Lauderdale to board the Harmony.

Our last night... Scott and I were served your "Liquid Marijuana" cocktail out of the blue. We weren't even ordering drinks, they just kept appearing by an over-zealous bartender.

I'll let you guess which one...
