Spencer Ambrose land, sea and beach adventure

Spencer Ambrose had a sign with our name on it when we exited the cruise terminal and we were escorted by his daughter SheShe to the speed boat. Along the way to stopped to see the bats in the crevice in the rocks.

Part of the group got off the boat to go on the land portions of the trip. Part went to the mud baths and the rest of us went to the sulphur spring and then to the waterfall. Penny was our guide for this part of the trip.

After the land tour was finished, we went back to the pier where the speed boat picked us up to take us to the beach. SheShe had saved lounge chairs for our group. That was wonderful! We went out in the water and no snorkel was even needed. Fish were swimming all around us. Several people from the ship had brought cereal to feed the fish. There were many kinds surrounding us.

Lunch was prepared and it was delicious. There was jerk chicken, noodles, rice, lentils, plantains, breadfruit and the most wonderful green banana salad. The rum punch was delicious and strong. Thanks to Kelly for keeping our glasses full.

When our day was over we got back on the speed boat and stopped at Marigot Bay to see the homes of the rich and famous. The Pitons are gorgeous and our day with Spencer Ambrose and his family and workers made our day extra special. The best port!

So happy to read a good review on this excursion we have this booked for later this year but had read several negative reports. We were a little worried about Spencer’s reputation so am glad to read positive reports!
