If your cabin can handle more people can u add them and at what cost? Im in an aft haven. Hope to upgrade to a two bedroom. Right now our booking is for 4. If I get the upsell can I add two other people since the 2 bedrooms handle 6. My children would sure be surprised if I invited their besties as a graduation gift. Has anybody ever done this?

In May we had an inside room and my boy decided a week before leaving he wanted his girlfriend to go. Since the room COULD hold 4 and we only had 3 we called and they did allow it. I think it depends on whether the lifeboats are at capacity. It never hurts to try.

It depends on how close they are to capacity. Every cabin on board is assigned a muster station and every muster station has a set number of life boat seats. They can't allot more bookings than they have life boat seats. So yes, they have more capacity available if every cabin was booked to capacity than they would actually allow to book. So there's no way to know until you get the 2 bedroom and call and ask.

Sometimes you can add people and sometimes you can't. It depends on how many passengers are booked in your portion of the ship. The reason that is important because each muster station is assigned to certain lifeboats, and when all the space in those lifeboats is gone you cannot add more people. This sometimes results in cabins being left empty.

When you add passengers you pay the then going rate for those passengers, though if you are sailing solo and add a second b person the pricing is a bit different, specially if you are not in a studio.

Thanks. If I change cabins and add them now it will be 12 k. If I just book a regular balcony now for the friends it is an extra 3k. I think I won't say anything and see if there are anymore great sales. Thanks for the info

As I previously said call and ask.

As we had 3rd and 4th guest sail free promo the added guest on a 9 night Baltic cruise (May 2017) was only charged port taxes at approximately $180!

This was 10 days before sailing!

Another thing to keep in mind, if you book them a regular balcony (which I don't know their ages, but may be an issue) and you are in the Haven, they will not be able to enjoy the Haven areas with your family. At their age, it might not be their favorite area of the ship anyway, but could impact dinners and lunches if you planned on eating in the Haven restaurant.

Are the friends old enough to be able to book their own room?

This is a difficult situation. Would not be a problem to normally add people this far out but at the time the upgrade would come along there is a chance lifeboat capacity would be an issue.

If you book them in a separate cabin now it would take quite a bit of luck to get both rooms upgraded to Haven. If you only get your room upgraded the other room doesn't have Haven access.

I guess I'm not seeing $12K price difference. The current rate for pax 1 and 2 for H6 is $3599 each and for H4 it is $4299 and pax 3+ are $700 each with taxes.

So it should be roughly $1400 plus $700 for each of the people you are adding. Of course, you may have paid less than the current H6 rate.

This is for the sailing we are booked on, right?
