Solo Alcohol Drink Package

On MyNcl I checked the price for the drink pkg for my Gem 10 day cruise. The price is 89.00 x 2 for a grand total of 1780.00 Such a deal ! :') Must be a glitch or NCL just wants me to pay as I go. Just off a RC cruise and the price was 52.00 per day. Is there any pkg for a solo to save a few bucks ?

If you are traveling solo then you only pay for one person if you are purchasing the UBP. Most people aren't even buying it these days because it is being offered as a booking perk where you only pay the gratuities.

I would ring them up and ask. :)

I have a solo booking and purchased the soda package and didn't get double charged in the cart. Also there is a cheaper drink package limited to beer, wine, and soda for $59 per day.

As mentioned earlier, call NCL if you are getting double charged.

If you get the drink package, both passengers in the cabin must buy it. If you're a solo cruiser, you shouldn't be charged a second package. Additionally, I'm not sure if you're past final payment, but if you're not, and you've got the sail away rate. I'd check into the difference in that rate, and one that includes the drink package as a perk.

You should first check if you can move to a cabin rate that includes the Free at Sea promotion, then choose the beverage package as one of you options. A 10 day sailing should definitely have promotions available.
