I'll back up the poster who suggested the NCL Epic. I'm 70 and not necessarily looking for a relationship, but I'm not averse to one. On each of my cruises in the singles studios, I have run into women who made it clear that they were looking for something and were interested in me. Since I was just there to enjoy a solo cruise, it sort of surprised me, but it worked out pretty well. In my opinion, because of the studio rooms, this is a great ship for meeting singles. If you get your father to try it (and if he really wants to meet women), tell him to be sure to attend the evening get-togethers, especially the one the first evening, so you can meet people. Even if he doesn't meet a "special" woman, he's sure to run into people he can enjoy spending the week with.I am now a widower and love to cruise. I am not young and was worried about being old and cruising alone. I guess I can now try NCL and get a studio. Happy cruising dublell.
