Hi, Desdichado - what is the current status of construction in the Sodermalmstorg area? We are planning to take the T-bana to Slussen and then walk to the Hilton when we arrive next Saturday- will this be possible? Will we need to walk up to Gotgatan and then turn right? Thanks! And hope your new year of studies is going well!Södermalmstorg is unaffected at the moment:
Hi Desdichado62,- your info has been very helpful in planning my cruise which ends in Stockholm. Quick question about the Frihamnen port. My ship, Regent Navigator gets into Frihamnen on 9/14 and I am trying to pre-book a taxi with Taxi Stockholm. On their website my options for pick up location are: Frihamnen Containerterminalen, Frihamnen Hus N, Hus K, Hus G, Hus E, Hus D, Frihamnen Magasin 1, Magasin 2-9. I can't quite figure out which would be the cruise terminal. Would you happen to know? Thanks!I think I may have just figured this out. I think it may be Frihamnen Kajplats 638. Thanks!

The museum was previously located at Tidö palace about 100km west of Stockholm.
Need some help planning our very short port stop in Stockholm on Sunday, June 10th. We will be arriving on the Regal Princess, and one of the reasons we chose this cruise was so we would sail into Stockholm. I'm not sure which pier we will be docked at, but we do have a very short day from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. Our priority is the Vasa Museum and perhaps walking through the Old Town and touring City Hall if it's open on Sunday. My question is what is the easiest way to get to the Vasa Museum? I believe it opens at 8:30 am, and I had hoped to take the HOHO boat to the museum, but from what I'm seeing, the HOHO boat doesn't start until 10:00 am, which would be much too late for us. We hope to go straight to the Vasa Museum and be there when it opens, and then go to the Old Town for a walking tour or just touring on our own. What do you recommend for as the best transportation to the museum. Will anything be open in Old Town--shops or City Hall for a tour on Sunday?
Many thanks for your help.
