I took the classic beverage and gratuities perks on my next cruise in November on the Eclipse. Where can I find what drinks are included. When I give them my room card do I have to say each time I have the classic beverage perk. We like to have a glass of merlot or 2 with dinner. Are frozen drinks included? Water and beer? Is there a limit every day to what we order? Thank you.

Someone here will have a link to list of what's included, frozen drinks are included and there is no limit on anything as far as I know. Only still water in small or large bottles and a list of several beers. Also most of the special coffees at the café.

Celebrity makes it very easy for guests with the Classic Beverage package. Your cabin card entry card will have the "CAAL" code which will let staff know that you have the Classic package. If you decide to upgrade to the Premium package onboard, at the point of purchase they will place an adhesive strip with "PREM" to place on your card.

As far as what is included, sign into the Celebrity website, once on, click on "Menu" in the upper left hand corner, click on "Onboard Experience" then "Gifts and Packages" then go to "Premium, Classic and Standard Packages". You will find a list of what liquor options are included.

Most (but not all) coffee beverages at Café al Bacio are included, bottled water (but not Evian or Perrier), a good variety of beers, a decent (but not adequate) variety of wines and many (but not all) frozen and mixed drinks are include. When in doubt - ask the server and they will let you know. At worst, you will be charged the difference between the $9.00 allowed and the higher option you are requesting. Of course that could be a big difference if you request Couvoisier Napolean!!!

While onboard, if you find the Classic Package is not meeting your tastes you can always upgrade.

There is another thread in which the OP created a list of drinks that are available on the classic and premium beverage packages. The link to her post and the PDF files she created are here:

The first 2 and only times that we have had the classic drink package was part of our prom's - And although I am a snob about my scotch and gin I managed pretty well for the 11 days without a good scotch. There was no single malt on the Classic package. It actually caused me to branch out and try some new things. There were several frozen drinks to choose from with the Classic package and the gin that was offered was adequate. Although we love a good wine (the wines were totally ok), and a good drink, I don't think that I would ever pay for the drink package. We simply could not get our moneys worth without drinking all day - everyday. I must admit that the coffee (the Americano, if I remember correctly) might be the one thing that pushes us over the edge with that decision. There is nothing like starting the morning off with a GOOD cup of coffee - and the regular coffee pales in comparison to the specialties.

we have found that the Classic Pkg is more than enough for us. I am a beer drinker, so I can get my beer with an occasional glass of White Zin or a Margarita with good booze like Patron. Hubby is a whiskey drinker. Jack is no longer included in the classic from what I have heard, but he is fine with Jim Beam or Makers Mark so he has no issue with getting what he wants.

We never upgrade to Premium-for us not worth it as we don't care about high end craft beers, or wine. So Classic works perfect for us. We always pick the Bev pkg for the perks. Hubby loves his specialty coffee in the morning, and I am fine with the bottled water and soda that we get with the pkg.

I was not able to get patron. I had to ask for the Jose Cuervo or they would give me house tequila. However my husband was able to get crown most of the time and it wasn't on the classic either. Maybe he was more charming :)

On our last several cruises, the Classic Package has been an included perk and we were quite happy with that. However, we took advantage of the deals being offered when the Equinox was moved from Europe so in October we'll be sailing with the Premium Package. In the past I've been perfectly happy with a standard martini available anywhere except the Martini Bar. Now I suspect I'll be tempted to try a chocolate martini for dessert even though most specialty martinis don't interest me. I'll certainly check out some better scotch options. I fear there will be no turning back.

We booked a family cruise to Bermuda in 2018 and when I did the math for our four cabins, the Go Best package looked pretty darn good. A couple of months later a promotion was going on and I saved $150 per person from my original booking price so now the Go Best seems almost free. I'm sure our adult children will be thrilled with it.

As noted already your seapass card will have your beverage package level printed on it. This will eventually rub off especially if you have sunscreen on your hands. Clear tape might protect it, I'll have to try that next cruise. Also the bar staff will pester you to upgrade to premium for the first day or two. Unless you are into the Martini Bar, fancy wine or high end alcohol the classis is more than adequate.

You can drink as much as you want, NO LIMIT! don't take that as a challenge but if there is something you would otherwise not try go ahead and try it. It's a great way to try new stuff. If you don't like it, leave it and get another drink.

Just about everything is included, anything over $9 you pay the difference (beer, wine, cocktails, water, soda, juice, fancy coffee etc).

Just off Equinox earlier this month. I have them punch our cards at guest relations and hook a colored cord upto it.

This helps me locate and differ my seapass from my DW also at the bars its easy to make sure I get mine backwhen they walk over with a handfull of Seapasses. Plus if you play in the casino you are apt to not leave it in the machine with a long cord hanging out. At least it works for us.

Our biggest issue on the cruise was LACK OF BAR STAFF.

Not all the time but during peak times like at Martini Bar before dinner and after shows let out. It always seemed they were a bartender or two short during peak times..this seemed to be evident at every bar. Sometimes it was just hard to get a drink. We sailed on Silly and Constellation last year and found it to be about the same service. Im not saying the bartenders do not work hard the bust their tails. We do appreciate their hard work. But without proper staffing you can only work so hard. I had Classic Pkg and DW had Premium Pkg I never had a problem with what to drink on classic, absolute was the drink of choise but could have had VO,SEAGRAMS 7 or Canadian Club. So i was fine.

Along with many others that were on this cruise the biggest complaint was LACK OF BAR SERVICE. Hopefully Celebrity makes some changes there adding staff.

Otherwise it was an ok cruise.

A co-worker of my husband said that the premium package gives you free access to anything in the cabin mini bar. He is excited.

So is this true or false information?

Thanks

Bogus info, they will charge you for anything you drink and often charge you for stuff you don't drink. That's why many here ask that the fridge be emptied. This eliminates the bogus charges that you wont find out about till you're home. It also opens up the fridge for your own drinks.

When you think about it, it makes sense that they don't let you drink the mini bar drinks on a bevy package. They have no control over who consumes them. You could be giving them to guest that don't have drink packages. Or empty the thing at the end of the cruise for your trip home.

Different cruise line (Carnival), but we always asked our steward to remove the liquor from the mini fridge. They didn't take it from the cabin. They just moved it to the top shelf in one of the closets! ;p

They don't remove it on Celebrity either. They put it in a bin under the bed usually. But I've never had a minibar charge show up on my account when they empty the fridge. Otherwise I seem to always have a charge or two. I think they do it on purpose, it's like it's company policy.
