How long port to sambadrome

Hi everyone

Does anyone know how long it takes to get from the port to Sector 5 Grandstand at the Sambadrome via shuttle bus during Carnival.

Also the shuttle picks up at 6pm but the first parade isnt before 9pm so what do we do for 3 hours apart from sit on concrete seats and wait?

It is around 5kms from the port - Terminal de Cruzeiros, Av. Rodrigues Alves 10, Rio de Janeiro RJ 20081-250.

It would be mad with traffic and such in the whole city, so it may take a while to get there. As to what you can do, I imagine get food and drinks and people watch. Get into the atmosphere and dance rather than sit.
