Oceana post refit

Hi.

Looking to book first cruise with P&O on Oceana in July 2018. Having read recent reviews the ship seems to really need its due refit in November. A long shot I know but are any major changes to the ship likely during the refit?

Anything I should look out for when booking a room?

The hairdryers should work, it was shocking when we got on in August to see the state of the socket and we weren't the only ones.

Some of the photos I've looked at show lots of niggles to iron out. However they've dropped Ephesus from the itinerary which is billed Greece Croatia and Ephesus.......sort of defeats booking it really.

Ephesus/Kusadasi is a port I would happily miss again, at least you are still going to Santorini.

Our trip on Oceana next September has Kusadasi cancelled and Heraklion instead - suits us. We've been to Kusadasi but never to Crete. We were last on Oceana about 14 months ago and while she obviously isn't in a pristine condition we found little to complain about, We'll be on her after her refit so that will be interesting.

I think Ephesus is absolutely amazing so I'd be very sorry to miss it. It's unbelievable to see the restoration and conservation work. Also love bargaining in the market in Kusudasi. However always trust P&O to make the right decisions to keep passengers safe.
