Does anyone have a recommendation of a fun place to hang out and have drinks in the Tourism Village. We have a fellow traveler turning of age on our trip and this will be their first bar experience. Thank you for any recommendations. ☺

I figured as much. But our young traveller does not know that, so it will be an experience. ;)

Probably easier just to stay on the ship if you're not going to actually go to Belize

What makes you think we arnt going into Belize? It would be silly not to. But our plans will leave us with a little time after words to do something to celebrate the birthday. Did you have a place to recommend?

Sunnyfun...While Geeko1 makes a couple of great suggestions, if you have other plans and are limited in time upon return, Wet Lizard would be my choice.

If on the other hand, you're just going to take a taxi around Belize City, Travelers Liquor is worth a stop. Plus there's a great restaurant near by, Belamari on Seashore Drive, near the original BELIZE sign. Ladyville may be too far away and all you'll find in Belize for beer is Belikin.

Belize City is about 40,000 people and the Belikin brewery is across town so it's not very far at all. While Belize certainly is not the beer capital of the world belacan makes about seven or eight different beers so your little on the incorrect side there. There are also several Caribbean beers that are imported into Belize.
