Anyone traveling on the Crown Dec 9th?

Due to hurricane season and all the damage. Does anyone know what ports the Crown will stop on the scheduled Dec 9th sail?

The most recent advisory on Caribbean port calls from Princess:

...states Princess will resume calling at St Thomas on December 13 and Grand Turk on December 15. Both just in time for your cruise.

(Though other lines have resumed calling at Grand Turk already).

Will it change again? Who knows.

Thanks for the quick response. Not clear on your response that Turks and St. Thomas will be open 12/13 and 12/15 just in time for your cruise since my cruise is 12/9. Do you mean to say they will be open prior to to 12/9?

Your cruise is scheduled to call at St Thomas on 12/14 and Grand Turk on 12/15.

So even though you board on 12/09 your calls there are expected to happen. Unless the reopen dates change again.

We are also on that cruise.

In this case Grand Turks and St. Thomas will be open 12/13 and 12/15 means that those are the first dates that a Princess ship will dock in those ports. The previous itinerary for the Crown is a southern itinerary and does not go near the damaged area. Other cruise lines will likely have already been to these ports by those dates.

For Grand Turk most passengers just enjoy the beach area around the dock. That area will be all fixed up. For St Thomas there are 2 docking areas. The shops around them will be ready for passengers but I would expect to see a lot of damaged buildings if you do a tour to the rural areas.
