Carnival Liberty mini fridge?

Yes but I was in a balcony stateroom and mine didn't get cold at all even with the cabinet door opened.

The ability of the "fridges" to cool is indeed variable, even with propping the "cabinet" door open. On our first Liberty sailing, the mini-bar fridge worked fine. On the second (different cabin), not nearly as well. Didn't matter too much, but if I'd wanted to keep milk cold (for example), it would have failed.

Same reply I gave when someone asked about the Valor a day or two ago:

All cabins on Conquest Class ships have fridges. I agree that keeping the outside cabinet door open makes for MUCH better cooling. Those little vents on the side do absolutely nothing to dissipate the heat generated. It got so cold that my strawberries were practically frozen. You'll have some people say they don't get cold, but I can tell you that 100% of the time when I left the door open, it made a ton of difference. If you leave the door shut, then the fridge only gets slightly chilly.
