So far, It’s been a perfect cruise. We did miss Mykonos two days ago, however, Due to high winds.

The food has been very good in the buffet, in our opinion. There are always a few clunkers in every buffet, but for the most part everything has been tasty.

Crew is excellent. Excellent service everywhere.

We are enjoying the crown immensely.

I will try to write more later and then cut and paste it.

Unfortunately, due to this new format, I can’t do a review with pics.  Tapatalk was the site I used to upload pics, and this format is too convoluted.

I can’t post easily, either, without the app, which simplified everything.  The two pics I had attached are now gone.

If anyone can offer any any helpful hints about how to attach pictures I would gladly welcome suggestions, otherwise, there will be no review forthcoming.

This is so backwards having to access the site without an app.

It is like 2001 instead of 2018 now.

Santorini

we had perfect weather

Took the city bus to and from Oia.

1.80 € each  Direction. We bought tickets on the bus and you do not need exact change

After arriving via cable car we walk down the path and then we accidentally turn right but we should’ve turn left and then walk down that path and then go onto the main street walk a little while and then turn left in the bus station  is there .

At 10:20 there are hordes of people ,  and the buses leave approximately every 20 minutes, I believe ?

Then the bus driver yells out the word Oia,  and all of us ran for the door in a frenzy.

LOL

There were no lines you just have to be aggressive and run for the door and push your way in.

For our return, the bus pulled in exactly where it dropped us off near a little market. The bus stop was not clearly marked.   People just kind of line up wherever.  I can tell you that the bus lineup is very near the store Blanc du Nil,  not in front of that store,  but if you are looking at that store,  there is a little restaurant to the left and then to the left of that is a mini market,  and that is or where we all lined up.   When the bus comes it will pull in and turn around in the coldest sack then swing around in front of that minimart.

We spent 4.5 hours in Oia  and had a wonderful lunch there,  but the name is scapes me right now.    I will post later

Sorry, but I’m going off memory  and I am very jetlagged today, since we flew home yesterday  and spent a joyous 13 hours on the plane, so bear with me.

This is kind of a patchwork review  due to the boards being down.

I will just post a few pictures today and then comment on the ship experience later   .

The biggest surprise of the cruise was the port of Kotor, Montenegro.

We had a picture perfect day, the weather was just beautiful, and everybody raved about it.  We booked a private tour in advance through Milo and Sons,  which I found out about through Tom’s Port Guide, I think?  At any rate, someone had written a review on cruise critic several months ago in reference to times, and this was the company Tom used.  We spent €200 for the two of us for an all day excursion.  We were not sure what to expect with this port, as it can be tricky and sometimes it is called off all together, but we had perfect conditions and we’re off the ship at 8 AM  and  had scheduled an 830 meet time.   Our driver showed up around 820 and off we went to beautiful Perast  to see the church, our lady    Of the rock.  Interestingly, our driver whisked us to paralysis, out of the car where a shuttle boat was waiting just for the two of us,  and we were among the first few people to get over there that morning, beating all  Cruise crowds !  We were even the first two to go into the church that morning, and our guide had a word with the woman who open the doors and asked her if she would close them to everybody else so that we could get some good pictures .

We had great service.   Then our guy drove us to Budva, pronounced Boodwah,  and we spent about an hour or two out there,  then it was back to Kotor  for a walking tour.

Wow! Such  an amazing place

Apsithia Restaurant  is where we had a lovely lunch!

While walking around Oia,  it is not on the walking path you have to walk partway down the hill.  What was nice about it was that it was not so crowded unlike all the restaurants that are on the main walking path.

I had a tuna salad and my husband had the hamburger but the hamburger is without a bun but I think it was filled with feta cheese or something.  Quite reasonably priced, considering the wonderful atmosphere.

The pictures of the desserts above were out a little hole in the wall called Zotos Cafe,  at least that’s what my check in said on Facebook.   But the sign hanging outside had a different name on it. We wanted to get off the ship so quickly that morning that we didn’t eat breakfast so we each had a waffle at that little café mine had honey and cinnamon and sugar and my husbands had honey and it was also slathered with yogurt.   We wanted to get off the ship so quickly that morning that we didn’t eat breakfast so we each had a waffle at that little café mine had honey and cinnamon and sugar and my husbands had honey and it was also slathered with yogurt. So excellent

When we arrived  at the olive farm,  we were given a glass of wine and taken into a room by the owner son and he explained the process of olive pressing,  from there we tasted several olive oils‘s and olives,  and from there we had lunch for €15 per person, and it included everything including wine.  Excellent.  And then the family Greek dance for us and we all joined in.

Agriturismo Magna Grecia  what is the name of the place.

From there our group agreed that we would rather go to the beach and stead of the Honeyfarm,  and we only stayed for 45 minutes.   Then back to the ship

katakolon is a cute port,  and due to our late arrival we also were able to leave later,

Unfortunately it was not enough time to go shopping in all those cute little stores I saw once we were dumped off from the tour.

Still to come: Sorrento, Positano, Pompeii, Aix-en-Provence, Florence, Rome, Barcelona!

Thank you for your nice comments so far, everyone.

This was the best itinerary ever.

Only one port was missed, Mykonos.

It was  quite blustery that day,  and even though our call was aborted, I was able to zoom in with my iPhone X and get some pretty good pictures of the windmills.

All pictures were taken with my iPhone X.

Oops,  I am dictating this and Siri is misinterpreting what I am saying,  and due to my jetlagged I did not bother to proofread what I dictated, so cul-de-sac  came out as coldest sack ugh!

And for some reason the periods are not going in when I’m dictating either

Oh well I’m sure you will all forgive me LOL
