Help sought with continual lies, fraud and desception from Viking Cruise Horror Story

Finally, gathering the strength to re-visit this and first want to say "Thank You" to everyone for their words of comfort, support and guidance. Maybe it was just a coincidence in timing, but my sense is the Viking representative who commented above, or someone at Viking monitoring these pages figured out the situation and the people involved. Things moved quickly after this posting and before comments could be made to TellUs@VikingCruised.com Mom received a call the day following this posting with apologies and assistance from an executive that could help correct the injustice and situation. Viking in the end, after much angst, stress, and run-around did apply a credit for a future cruise, not a refund. Mom and another family member are set to go on a cruise in the near future and hopefully all will go off without any hitches, and they will be able to relax, reflect and celebrate Dad's life. Still get upset how things were handled, that Dad passed not knowing the resolution, and how worthless travel insurance can be given the premiums that are charged. Sure, the insurance companies are in the business to be profitable, but that should not be at the expense of false and miss-leading promises made to honest and innocent travelers. Thank you again to all, and appreciate your comments and guidance. Thanks also to Viking for helping close this unpleasant experience by at least crediting the original cost to a future cruise.
