Vibe if you are in Haven?

Depending on the time of your cruise (e.g. school vacation weeks or holidays), the Haven pool and sundecks can often be overrun with lots of children running around and completely taking over the pool and hot tubs.

If you are looking for a quieter, adults-only experience you might indeed want Vibe (fee) or even Spice H2O (no extra cost) during the day which is also adults only. It really depends on the makeup of the Haven crowd.

We are in the Haven today on the Breakaway and will get the Vibe class. A small insurance policy if we would rather not be around kids and be able to enjoy the outdoor bar that won't be over crowded. We have had a blast in the Vibe area every time and met some great people.

Is it a waste to get Vibe passes if you are in a Haven spa cabin. We have never sailed in a Haven cabin, so I have never seen the Haven area. Does it get crowded in the outside area? Appreciate any thoughts,

Thanks

Bella

Absolutely not a waste.

1. Adults only.

2. No outside bar in the Haven. (At least not on the Breakaway.)

3. Not as crowded as the public sundeck but more people than in the Haven which sometimes can feel too empty.

4. Better hot tubs than in the Haven. (At least on the Breakaway.)

We are in Haven in August on Escape, friends cruising with us are not in Haven, for this reason we are looking at Vibe, will I be able to get 4 passes for us and them or do they have to pick up their own pass. Sorry in advance for basic question first time NCL cruiser.

I'd hope they'd enroll them in Splash Academy! We're in the Haven second week of May and hoping we don't have kids running around [emoji47]

I am pretty sure based on threads here that all of the people getting passes have to be together when they are bought. So you can buy them, but the other two may have to make sure they are one of the first boarding to make sure they have a shot at getting theirs. YMMV though. You can always call the Haven shoreside concierge and ask them about it before you leave.

Each person requesting a vibe pass will be given a number based on when they get in line. You have to be in line to get a number. Can't pick it up for them.

Is the number the Havenguest get based on when the concierge call the place where the passes are sold? Do you know?

Just off the Breakaway today and I am getting the Vibe pass next time. 90% of the children in the Haven were behaving well but let me tell you, the other 10% were out of control. I have a 12 year old who has sailed in suites since she was 5 and if she behaved like those kids she'd be in big trouble. It's the parents fault but good luck finding them. You couldn't even relax on the second Haven deck because of all the screaming. Not here and there, constant for hours.

There is no set number that the concierge has. It's just the concierge holding a few passes "just in case...". If needed, the concierge can call down to guest services/headliners and ask for a few more to be held IF they aren't sold out. With the new boarding procedures, it is unlikely that many passes will be left before general boarding begins.

It depends on what ship.

If you're cruising on the Escape then absolutely you need a Vibe pass. The outdoor Haven area is ridiculously small for the huge amount of Haven passengers. There is no bar in the outdoor Haven deck and the 1 or 2 bar attendants have to go two floors down to the Haven Lobby Bar to have drinks made. About 25% of the outdoor Haven area is smoking as well. Chair hogs have infiltrated this area as there are not nearly enough loungers for all the Haven guests. I strongly recommend a Vibe pass if you're cruising on the Escape!

The Epic on the other hand has a lovely outdoor Haven area. It's very large, accommodates all that have Haven access. The outdoor space has multiple levels and has a big bar many people can sit around. There is more than enough space to accommodate all Haven guests wanting to enjoy the outdoor decks.

How do BA Haven guests get Vibe passes?

Haven guests go to guest services and take advantage of priority boarding. Haven guests can also see if the concierge has a few passes. Late arriving Haven guests shouldn't count on the concierge holding passes since the concierge only has a limited number. The best option for Haven guests is to arrive early, board before general boarding begins, and go to guest services and get them before the passes are sold out.

Thank you! What time would you recommend getting to the port?

And on Epic if you are in a suite it is included. Loved POSH.

When we cruised on the Breakaway the concierge called somewhere to reserve the passes for us.

Good to know that the procedure is changed in case we will cruise on the Breakaway again.

You can still have the concierge call but it is riskier now since more people will be onboard prior to general boarding.

The last time we were in a Haven spa suite we asked the concierge to get us passes when we first met him. It was no problem. I would not be surprised if he held a couple for your friends.

BTW, I asked the butler if he would deliver food there if I called him, no problem. Though I never took advantage of that.

When we sailed Breakaway in the Haven last summer, we called the onshore concierge and request them to pass our Vibe Pass request along to the onboard concierge. Because you are escorted right up to the Haven, I was a little nervous about not being able to get down to guest services for the passes. The concierge had them for us when we arrived!

We had similar reasons as above posters for getting vibe passes ... outside bar and hot tub, wanted an adults only location fearing lots of kids on an August to Bermuda cruise.
