seamwoman Posted September 10, 2018 #26 Share Posted September 10, 2018 Thanks for your responses. I wish I knew the three day cruise was from FTL as I would have booked that too. Don't know where NYC came from??? Karen
voljeep Posted September 11, 2018 #27 Share Posted September 11, 2018 just got this mail for a response to my 'cruise vacation planner' at Princess Yes that cruise is showing sold out. As far as I know there is nothing ‘Special’ scheduled, but maybe they have something planned I am not privy to. I am not sure why they are not scheduling anything for the few days before the cruise, I assume it has to do with prepping for her maiden US voyage. yeah, prolly not going to let this person plan a cruise for me...
john_galt Posted September 12, 2018 Author #28 Share Posted September 12, 2018 That's rich, voljeep! If Princess messes with the existing bookings for the 3-day, they will distress several people who booked that cruise with the following 7-day as a B2B. If I get cancelled, I'll just switch back to X and cross Princess off my list.
nukesubsailor Posted September 12, 2018 #29 Share Posted September 12, 2018 You boarded in NYC. Federal law says you cannot embark in one US port and disembark in another US port unless the ship stopped at a distant foreign port. On the east coast, that would require a stop in Aruba or Bonaire or Curacao or Columbia. This law is referring to ships with foreign registration such as all Princess ships. If the cruise ship is registered in the USA, such as American Cruise Line, the law does not apply and no distant foreign port visit is required. Love2cruise77 Posted September 12, 2018 #30 Share Posted September 12, 2018 If I get cancelled, I'll just switch back to X and cross Princess off my list. It can happen to X too. We booked a 3 night cruise on the Edge for November and they canceled it, so we moved to one in December.

voljeep Posted September 23, 2018 #32 Share Posted September 23, 2018 Any update to report about the SOLD OUT status showing on the Princess website.? I see some to be non-named websites are still showing as being able to book GTY category(s)... Is this normal?
john_galt Posted September 23, 2018 Author #33 Share Posted September 23, 2018 I think some of the 'bucket shops' had/have blocks of rooms. The SOLD OUT notice went up a couple of days after the last suite was booked. I had been haunting the site hoping an Owners Suite would open up.
