Azamara Journey Suites Advice

We are thinking about a TA on Journey in Nov 2019. This would be B2B with a river cruise on AMA that we have already booked. We would appreciate feedback on Journey's suites. The Club Continent Suite looks like it would suit us just fine. We like a larger bathroom and shower area.

Thanks in advance!

A Club Continent suite would be a good choice. Just make sure you book one that has a walk-in shower so you won't have to climb into and out of a deep tub in order to shower. Half the CC suites still have tubs, even though most prefer a walk-in shower. Book early to ensure getting a shower.

The extra space in a CC suite makes quite a difference over a standard cabin, especially the bathroom. All the CC suites except the two accessible ones are on deck 8 and therefore under the public deck so it's wise to have a look at the cabin sticky on the front page of this forum. Some can suffer noise from above. Here's the latest spreadsheet:

Number one priority: do not take a cc cabin under The Patio. You will have a terrific shower but you wil have nearly constant noise from the chairs and table moving above you. I honestly don’t know how they sell those cabins in good conscience.

Thanks, I rarely take a bath, even at home. From the deck plans, cabin 8058 is on the opposite side of the patio. I think I'm ok with overhead noise?

We've been in 8058. You may a few times a day hear a rolling cart moving overhead in Windows. It's not an issue. And you may be forward enough that the sound won't get to 8058. Nice location behind aft elevator, so little traffic but not far from stair access.

Cat N1 and N2 have the opposite shower vs tub on port vs starboard side configuration. 8047 is a shower and 8058 is a shower but 8047 is under The Patio, which you do not want. 8058 is under the coffee and juice area of Windows Cafe which is preferable,

Here is a picture showing the tub and tub/shower suites. We have sailed in 8054 and 8057 multiple times with no noise problem. 8057 is under the last few feet of the patio before Windows and we have heard some noise but never enough to be a problem. 8054 is under the restrooms and very quiet. 8056 should also be pretty quiet but a word of caution. The shelves in the bathroom there are very small due to some kind of bulkhead obstruction. I think normal shelves in most of the suites are close to 6 inches deep but these are no more than 3.
