Water Island Beach

How is the condition of the Water Island Beach? Arriving in Crown Bay and would like to spend a little time there.

We went there a few years ago before the hurricane and loved it. It is was easy to get to. Nice bar and good food on beach.

Honeymoon Beach on Water Island has been cleaned up and the beach bars are open. Should be a beautiful way to spend the day.

We were thinking about doing the same. Looks like a taxi from havensight to crown bay dock would be about $5 pp. Ferry is $10 round trip. so $20 pp seems like a steal!

Good snorkeling on Water Island?

Do they rent snorkeling equipment on Honeymoon Beach & is the snorkeling any good there?

Honeymoon Beach Water Island is not known for good snorkeling. It has a sandy bottom not a reef. There are rocks along the outer sides of the beach where there are a few fish but this outside of the swim area and you would be swimming in the motorized boat lanes. There are however usually a few sea turtles within the swim area. I have my own equipment so I can't say if rentals are available.
