Internet Access

You kind of answered your own question. If you want to view emails you’ll have two choices ... either purchase internet time onboard or wait until you reach each port and look for a “free” Internet cafe. If you use Cruise Critics “search” function, you’ll find all sorts of info here on various packages offered on Princess ships. You’ll either purchase a package of “minutes” or, on some ships, unlimited access. Just remember to “log off” if you’re using a “minutes” package. Just shutting down your computer or tablet won’t stop your session and your minutes will continue to be tick down. You need to actually log out of the ship’s system each time you access the internet.

Following up on BigGuy, I'd also add the caveat that depending upon the ship you are on the internet can be pretty slow, so take that into account when you decide which package you purchase. By searching on here you'll also find various suggestions for the best way to efficiently check e-mails and conserve the minutes you purchase (for example, download all of the e-mails then log off the internet, prepare all of your responses, then log back in to send the responses).

Another follow up. Go to your cruise personlizer. Select Onboard Reservations and then Internet Options. If your sailing has Princess Connect options then expect daily connect time with faster speeds. Believe there are some limits. Princess Connect has 3 different packages, select the one that fits your needs. If your voyage does not have the Princess Connect option then you will have to purchase minuets. Expect slower speeds especially during high use times. Most every port has wi-fi spots. The crew knows their locations.
