Fulton Garage Parking in the Winter January

Leaving in a week on the Carnival DREAM. We have never sailed out of New Orleans. We normally park in the Port Cruise ship parking garage (Florida) as we can get in and OUT very quickly. I would still like to park under cover. So reading all these reviews on Fulton St Garage. I'm thinking my saving won't be as much as parking in the Port Cruise ship parking. Anyone traveled in the last few weeks and used Fulton Garage? Some of the reviews are pretty discouraging and scary. Thank you in advance for any feedback

I have parked there several times. No big problems with shuttles getting back and forth. I did have someone steal my gas a few years ago
