Is Paradise one of the better pay as you go beaches? Last time in Cozumel five years ago we did an all inclusive and this time we are looking for pay as you go. Do you need any reservations? We will be on the Oasis at the end of May. If there are other good options, please recommend.

No reservations needed or even available - show up, pay your admission fee, and pick your chairs. Great facilities and a HUGE pool, plus good food, drinks and service. A few rocky spots on the beach -- pay attention, especially after a few margaritas! ;) The place is huge, well run, well maintained, and a great choice for a pay as you go beach club.

Anyone know how long and how much a taxi ride is? USD accepted?? TIA

Fares will be posted on a board near the cab line for your pier -- 3 cruise ship piers on Coz, so be sure that you return to the correct one (it can be a challenge after 10-11 margaritas ;) ). fare for up to 4 passengers in the taxi should be about $17 each way and the ride will take about 10-15 min.

US dollar$$ are happily accepted at every tourist focused establishment on Cozumel - no need to switch to pesos. Bring lots of small bills; cab drivers everywhere never seem to have change when you pull out some $20's :( PB will also take your US dollars -- I think they add a 20% fee/gratuity if you use a credit card for admission and your food/bar tab.

Have a great cruise!

We were there twice last week. $15 from the International pier. Still $3 admission and they collect that when they put the wristband on you as you arrive. There’s a taco stand there now and the fish tacos were amazing. Ceviche is good and their guacamole is the best ever. We don’t drink alcohol so I can’t commentt on that but the smoothies were good. Bottled water is also available for, I think, $2. Excellent service. I think the first time we ever went there was 20 years ago, before the pool and other amenities. It just keeps getting better.
