Doesn't look like fake news to me.

gunman opened fire at Fort Lauderdale / Hollywood International Airport Friday afternoon, killing at least three people before being taken into custody, law enforcement sources told NBC News.

At least nine people in total were shot, sources said earlier.

MSNBC is interviewing by phone someone who witnessed the shooting of victims on either side of him as he was taking suitcase off the baggage turntable. He says some victims were shot in the head - some were elderly females. Person being interviewed was traveling with wife and mil - all dived to the floor when shooting started and thankfully were not injured. Shooter had time to reload his handgun and continue shooting. Another witness being interviewed said when shooter was done firing about three magazines he threw his gun on the ground and laid down spread eagle waiting to be taken into custody by authorities.

Now Senator Nelson is saying 9 shot, 5 deceased. The death toll keeps rising. So sorry for the victims and their families and so saddened by the violence in the world. We'll be in that airport next month to fly home from upcoming Panama Canal cruise.

Original shooting was in baggage claim area of terminal 2. Terminal 1 has now been evacuated. Hopefully just confusion after first shooting and not another shooter at the airport.

Just as an FYI for anyone who's wondering, T2 is Delta and Air Canada, and T1 is primarily Southwest.
