We will go a day early in October for our cruise to the Caribbean. Would like to book a tour of the everglades on an airboat. We will not have a car and will need to be picked up at the hotel. Can someone recommend or had experience with a company that can do this? TIA

We are going on a cruise in October out of Fort Lauder dale. Very interested in booking an everglades tour with an air boat. We would have to have a pick up at a hotel as we will not have a car. Does anybody have a recommendation of a tour company they have used.

We did the Everglades Airboat tour after we disembarked from our March 2018 cruise. It was convenient for us because we had to kill a few hours before our flight home.

The Everglades were about 40 min by bus away. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pleasant. The airboat ride was 1/2 hour long. We didn’t see any alligators because it was cold......just like we became 10 min after.

After the boat ride we walked the park grounds for about an hour and a half. The guides gave an informative class on the different animals they rescued. (Alligators, cougars, turtles etc).

Afterward we were taken too the airport. All in all it was worth it.

If you are asking about an Everglades tour before your cruise (since you mentioned being picked up at the hotel) I would check out the Fort Lauderdale website: http://www.sunny.org. You could also call your hotel (the direct line, not the 1-800 line) and ask if they have a recommendation since they should know who picks up at the hotel.

Rental car prices are very reasonable in Fort Lauderdale. It may be a lot cheaper to rent a car and drive out there than to pay a company to take you from your hotel. We took our airboat tour in December when we were staying two nights before a cruise. We had an early arriving flight, so we drove directly there from the airport. We stopped by Sawgrass Mills for lunch and shopping before going to our hotel.
