I was trying to figure out what looked different on the pier, and it seems to me that one of the buildings is gone. I had wondered why the Serenade OTS was way behind Oostie, do you think they are doing something new on the point of the pier?

Wish we could have a zoom to watch for the little white trucks!!

Here's my view yesterday from the Prinsendam's front porch. The old Celebrity terminal is surrounded by a construction fence and the building closest to the turning basin is a pile of rubble:

I'm going to try to watch, I maybe shopping for Thursday with my mom. Too bad the people who run this webcam can't have one in San Diego... I hope to see you all soon :).

Bolded part. An often expressed wish by us addicts. It hasn't done us any good, though.

I agree, the camera in San Diego is... frustrating.

These are the kinds of sailaways I really enjoy, with a big parade! Hopefully will drop in in time for the show!

I have sailed to/from Port Everglades many times, but always on Saturdays. Until your post, I assumed Sundays were less busy and hopefully more laid back. You prompted me to check the schedule for my sail-away date (Dec 3), and WOW... it doesn't look a lot different from a Saturday. Thank you for the heads up!

I hope there are not too many who were flying in the day of the cruise. There are a lot of delayed and cancelled flights with the bad weather in a lot of locations - everything from high winds & rain to freezing rain to snow.

Thanks, Roy, for the close-up photos. I had thought the area looked different!

Another question for everyone - do you go through the same building wherever the ship is docked? We've only been through Port Everglades maybe 4 times, and each time the ship was docked where the Celebrity Silhouette is today, but it seems as if Koningsdam is usually on the other side, where it is today. It appears to be accessed through a different terminal building.

We are booked in a verandah stateroom on deck 6, which I think will be the second deck above the lifeboats, within the aft "indentation" on the ship. I'm hoping to figure out where we will be (but not until January 3:(), and I will request a wave.

Scrapnana, will you be sailing from Fort Lauderdale for the WC - maybe we will overlap there a day or two? Could we meet up?
