Hi all

Looking at a cruise from Barcelona - Marseille - Genoa - Naples - Messina - Valetta but am concerned it might be too cold this time of year? Anyone have experience of these type of cruises at this time of year. Have only done Caribbean cruises and so have been used to good weather and calm seas....... :o

We have taken Mediterranean cruises in late October. Yes it could be cooler and sometimes rainy but you just never know when it comes to weather. A more optimal time of the year we have found is September where you still have nice weather and less crowds then in the Summer when many places are crowded and it is hot and humid.

As to the Caribbean you just never know either as October is still hurricane season but yes it is quite a bit warmer in the Caribbean in October.

We cruised this past October on NCL on basically the same route Oct 15-22nd. Barcelona-Naples-Rome-Livorno-Cannes-Marseilles-Barcelona. Had absolutely perfect weather 70's and sunny every day...although our tour guide in Cannes told us the weather can be iffy at that time of year. Of course we were on NCL...can't vouch for MSC! Only kidding. I was amazed at how we had such great weather...and luck!! I'm on this board because we also doing an upcoming MSC Seaside Yacht Club cruise...very excited about that!
