Catholic Church in Tampa - near airport

We are arriving in Tampa on Easter Sunday and looking for a church in a good area not far from the airport.

One idea we had is:

Christ the King, 821 S. Dale Mabry (US 92), a bit South of Swann Ave (Trader Joes is there as a point of reference). Any thoughts?

Christ the King is in a good area. I was just there this evening. Dale Mabry is a large main road. We don’t live in Tampa, but it is one of 2 we attend when visiting. Not sure of your transportation situation, but another good one is St. Lawrence, on Himes. From the airport it might be a tad bit closer to the Airport. Both good and safe areas. If there is such a thing anymore. :loudcry:

Thanks - that should do it. We are getting a car at the airport and driving to downtown for the day (after Mass). It will be Easter Sunday.

Dave,

Pay attention to whether the Mass is said in Spanish or English when you look at the schedule. I've run into this in FL, TX, and CA. I attended a Spanish Mass in Ft. Lauderdale one time. Of course I could figure out the basic parts of the Mass. I just didn't understand the readings and homily.

Thanks - that would be important!
