Florence on Your Own Excursion

Recommended Posts

For anyone who's done this Marella excursion from Livorno - where in Florence do we get dropped off? Is the pick up from the same place?

Trying to work out a walking route for us to follow.

Second question - how easy is it to find toilets?

Thanks.

Hi

We did the Florence on your own (9hour) 3 weeks ago.

The drop off point was by the river and the guide walked us to the meeting point at Piazza Santa Croce. That was about 5/7 mins walk. There were toilets at the meeting point.

The guide then met everyone back at the same place and we walked to meet the coach, by the river again but a little further - say 10 minutes.

We booked (via the guide) the electric car to take us around. This was brilliant. It was about 1 hour 30 mins, went around all the little streets and alleys to all the places of interest. We did this because my husband had a back operation a few ago and we were concerned that it may be too much walking. It was fine.

Really enjoyed it, and it didn't seem a long day.

Hope this helps
