Best Piano Entertainer on Carnival? (Part 2)

Just got off the Magic and was wondering what kind of experiences anyone else had with Michael O'Quinn? He seemed to be pretty good and we really wanted to watch him but he got up and left and shut down the bar early. He was scheduled to play until 1:30am but we walked in barely after midnight and he was already saying goodbye and leaving. The bar was full too. I've just never seen a piano player do that before. I always thought they had to stick to the posted schedule so that the bar could make money selling drinks.

I loved Mike on our Destiny B2B. Matter of fact he only had 1 day off during our B2B.

Never cruised with Bob, but it looks like we will in August. We are hopeful for some PB time this time, as we just haven't enjoyed our time there since Ron Pass on the swine flu cruise on the Splendor - 4 years ago. :(

I know my mom and our friend were looking forward to Russell on the Triumph. We're all watching to see who ends up on the Triumph when she returns to service!

I had the same experience on the 1-27 sailing. He would say he was taking a break and never come back and the bar would start to shut down at about midnight. I could not believe it.

Wow saying he was taking a break and lying about it? Would have complained to someone.

We enjoy going to piano bars and are excited to have fun in April on the Liberty. I'd love to read some recent info on Peter Brenner. He'll be the piano guy on our cruise.

I'm also cruising on the Liberty in April and I think the piano bar entertainer is going to be a HUGE disappointment. It would seem that I'm going from the best entertainer when I was on the Breeze in December (Ron Pass was fantastic!) to the worst entertainer (Peter Brenner).

Check out this link video and I'm sure you'll agree.

Ok...who can tell me about MIKE DARDIS???

According to the post he put on Ron Pass' fb page - be will be taking over for Ron on the Breeze June 2 through November 17th.

So now I know who will be there when we sail the Breeze again in August!! ;)

So...now I hear Dardis is NOT going to the Breeze to replace Ron. Anyone know that for sure?? Any idea who it might be - if its not Mike Dardis??

WOW...if that is a typical performace for Brenner - it would be VERY disappointing after enjoying Pass!! :o

Sorry, you will most likely be very disappointed

please alert Peter to this forum and the facebook page, perhaps he would change performance..

Yikes, I just watched that video if him, and I wouldn't be there very long. Hopefully on my next cruise on the Inspiration I have someone good. We have a couple good piano players at a bar is Salt Lake, maybe I should talk them into joining Carnival.

Great. I watched the video and I am not interested in hearing someone yell songs like that. Hope our comedians are decent next week.

It's not going to ruin my cruise but it's quite disappointing. On my past cruises I spent a couple of hours each night in the piano bar and really enjoyed it. I'll give him a chance but it looks like I'll have to find somewhere else to spend those 2 hours each night.

Michael Dardis is heading to the Legend. I'm badgering John Heald for info since he stole Mike away from us fall Breezers. Hoping to have some info soon.

John Heald just replied to me regarding who will be performing on the Splendor on it's April 8th voyage. It looks like Brad's schedule got extended.:) I sure hope he is right!!

I don't think John looked closely at the end of contract date. Brad just confirmed for me that he gets off the ship on Saturday.

Sorry! I'm trying to get the replacement's name.

Happy Cruising,

Laura
