There are many local neighborhood places in the Locus Point area which is just west of the Inner Harbor near the cruise terminal

As recommending a particular place steamed crabs is very subjective subject in Baltimore as many have their favorites

Crabs may be hard to find in October, the season typically ends in September. That being said, the Rusty Scupper is generally very good and has many seafood options.

Great selections and very expensive prices to go with them

Crabs are available all year round. They will not be Maryland crabs.

In the inner harbor area, for seafood, Mo's is the place. At the edge of Little Italy. Easy watch from main part of the inner harbor.

Oh no! Crab in Maryland season officially ends around Dec 1 (or 15th). Realistically, most commercial crabbers have their pots pulled in mid-Nov. H is crabbing through most of October on our creek, which is just off the Patapsco. Out in the bay and further south is longer.. Fall crabs are the best because the last molt was with the September new moon an then they just fill up and fatten up to overwinter.

That said, I don't have any recommendations of where to get crabs. Since we get them from the creek for the cost of a license (not even gas , H crabs from a kayak!), we can't stomach paying for them lol
