Depends on ones interests, If you like archaeology. and history I would suggest a tour to the Trujillo area to visit

the Moche 110 a.d. culture (temples and ruins and museum nearby the site. Also to the Chan Chan 900 a.d. civilization and the

near by city of Huanhaco Beach to see the Reed Boats.

The city of Trujillo has historical site from the Spanish

area on its town square. There are several tour

companies in Trujillo, who will pick you up at the

port. If you like good seafood, I would suggest a place

at the Beach. It is a wonderful site and one of the best in Peru.

If you are looking for something different we have booked with North Dunes Salaverry - won’t do the tour until next year so cannot tell you how it is. But, they are taking us sand boarding, a city tour of Salaverry then to the market to buy ingredients for a cooking lesson in a private home.
