Silversea vs. Regent Seven Seas Cruises

Interesting article. Also puzzled by the beer in the mini bar. Yes - beer, soft drinks and mixers fit into the mini bar but so does a bottle of champagne or wine. Regent passengers in in PH or above suites can pre-order their alcohol online so that it will be in their suite upon arrival while the rest of the passengers order from their steward/stewardess.

We have sailed on both Silversea and Regent and find them both to be excellent products. Food is subjective and we found some restaurants better on Regent and others on Silversea. Service is the same on both cruise lines. Regent's all-inclusivity is a big draw for many - especially air and excursions as these are both very pricey items and it does reflect in Regent's higher fares.

We find Silversea a bit too formal with far to many nights that require dressing up. Silversea's passengers are approximately 50%+ European which could explain the more formal dress code.
