Sunday Services on Carnival Ecstasy

We have a Saturday-Saturday cruise booked for the Ecstasy on March 3rd 2018 and are wondering if there are usually and Christian service on the Sunday that we are at sea.

Our last cruise happened to have a Christian Gospel music group on board and they welcomed everyone to their meetings. We probably won't be that lucky twice so I was just wondering if there was anything organized.

There are not normally scheduled services on board the ship, unless there is a minister traveling who makes prior arrangements with the company to hold services (which they normally don't, after all who wants to work on vacation).

As an option, this is something you can organize yourself. You can reach out on CC's Roll Call (and/or other similar boards) to see if there are other like-minded and like-faithed cruisers who are interested in a service. Several venues on the ship tend to be empty in the early mornings if you want to take advantage of an empty room, understanding that these areas are still public. Of course, you can meet in a cabin. I think it would be cool to worship on one of those foreward public observation balconies that seem to be unknown by many passengers.

If putting together a service is more than you want to do, you can still let it be known on Roll Call that you are interested in attending a service that someone else organized.

I’ve Seen a few of these meetings organized by passengers. Never hurts to put interest out there.

Thankfully, I've never seen religious services offered in the FunTimes. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of religions, and Carnival could not possibly cater to them all. As an atheist, I appreciate that they remain neutral.
As an atheist myself, I cringe when I see comments like this. Unfortunately, in today's day and age, they are far too common. As a Patriot and a U.S. Veteran, one of the things I fought for was the freedom OF religion, not the freedom from religion. If a cruise line decided to offer religious services, it wouldn't hurt you nor I. If you can't tolerate being in the presence of people of faith, they aren't the problem.

I believe costa is the only line that has a priest chaplain onboard. I think it was a condition of the sale from the original owners. Apostles of the seas in us and uk also supply priests who are trained and screened. They work with the crew with seafarer organizations. They do list carnival as one line they work with on cruises. Chaplains also offer non denominational services and are not paid by cruise lines. Would be nice if they had a list of cruises they will be on but you might send an email to the organization. On carnival most prayer is in the casino.
