MSC FANTASIA Mediterranean Questions (August)

We are setting off from Rome for a week in YC on the Fantasia. Can't wait! We are a family of 6. We are doing MSC as they allow our 5.5 month baby on board unlike Disney.

 

However, we have never done an MSC cruise before and I have some questions.

 

1) Does anyone know what the theme nights will be? The website indicates vaguely Flower power, Italy, White and Formal but some posts suggest that might be out of date.

2) Is there anything we should pack or prepare for which will be distinctly different from cruise companies we have done before (Disney and NCL)

3) Are there any items of more typical American cruise attire (I am thinking our swim shorts/ rash guards/ t shirts /baseball caps) which don't feel in keeping with what other folks are wearing on board the Mediterranean itineraries?

4) Unlikely anyone knows this but when do they really start boarding YC in the Rome port - the website is vague on that point too.
