I loved my visit to Gaspe. We were there later in the year, and it was overcast and rainy, and a Provincial holiday, but I still had a fantastic time. We took a ship-based excursion that was supposed to be a whale watching adventure and a scenic tour around Perce Rock. The whale watching was cancelled due to rough seas, but we did sail around Bonaventure Island and Perce Rock, before stopping for lunch in Perce.

It was really a great trip. I will say that French is the main language, and in most cases I experienced, the only language used. It certainly was the only language at the restaurants where we stopped for lunch and only the tour guide spoke English, the other people on the tour spoke French. So if you don't have good French skills, you may be limited to what you can do.
