In the evening and formal if you eat in the MDR, either club or freedom. Smart casual if in buffet and possibly in some of the select dining venues.

Timings change though, from the normal club dining times and I think if you're normally in Freedom dining you have to settle for a choice of one of two set dining times, just for that day.

Just returned from christmas and new year Canaries cruise. To answer your question regarding entertainment there was nothing extra except for Christmas eve service , carol service Christmas morning and a poor attempt at a panto.

In fact I would say that the entertainment was meagre considering it was a festive cruise. The entertainment manager was seldom seen much different to other cruises we have been on. I would go as far as to say apart from the decorations Christmas was no different to any other cruise.

Maybe our experience was different from hollyjess's because we were on Britannia's maiden season in the Caribbean and perhaps P&O made a special effort, but there were special shows and entertainment for children (e.g. magician), Headliners singing festive tunes in the Atrium, a panto-style show (confused story but not bad) as well as carol service. Think there were a couple of other things but can't recall. On balance probably more effort made for children than adults, but we thought it was OK.
