Still don't know cabin number.

Hi everyone,

This is my first time posting so I hope I'm doing it right!

We're a family of 6 and we're heading off on our first ever cruise in August.

We have a quad room booked for our kids (2 of them are over 18) and a twin room for hubby and I. We've been given the cabin number for the quad but not our double. Is this normal so close to departure? We leave for 10 nights on August 6th on Carnival.

Tia :)

Did you do guarantee cabin reservations? How did you book your cruise and not select your own cabin/cabin #s/cabin location. To make sure you are next door to or across the hall from your kids cabin?

Yes, we booked guarantee cabins. As it's our first cruise we wanted to go with the cheaper option to check it out. Our kids are older so we're all fine with not being next to each other and none of us are fussy at all.

Thanks everyone, I'll stop worrying now ☺

As long as you have paid, you will be assigned a cabin. Nothing to worry about.

Best case scenario, you will receive a hefty upgrade -- worst case scenario you will receive what you paid for.

Welcome to cruise critic. Don't stress, the longer they leave it the higher the chance of an upgrade.

Oh an upgrade would be nice! I'm sure we'll be happy with whatever we get though. Just happy that we get to spend this extra time with our very quickly growing kids! ;)
