Water level between Bucharest and Budapest?

We are supposed to begin a Viking cruise on Friday in Bucharest. We've received the standard letter that the river is low and that might need to change boats or be bused. Has anyone heard anything specific about the water level at the Bucharest end of the Danube? Everything I have been seeing is about getting to Budapest from the other direction. HELP! We just want info on what we might actually have to deal with.

Just looking through old threads regarding this stretch of the river.  How did it work out for you?  We are going to do Bucharest to Budapest in late October.
